Day 1:
Case suggestion 1: Each group use 10 min to discuss if any message should be elaborated from the afternoon talks and used for communication with the prospective clients. One group work with Torunn’s presentation, another with Darwin, the third group with Peter van Kemenade/Global supply. The groups get 90 seconds to present their pitch. 

Day 2:
Case suggestion: Prepare a sales pitch to be presented (90 sec pitch)
  1. 100 000 sow “farrow to finish” 
  2. 350 sow farm piglet producers in EU
  3. Powerhouse 50 000 sows with feed producer – consumer (whole marked chain)

Fact and economical based sales argumentation. How we should approach different clients different yet take advantage of similar toolbox

Day 3:

Case suggestion 2: What do we have to do different, change, add Possibilities in future supply Demands, increase demand on customers level, what is needed, marketing/communication, more research.
How can we differentiate in the market, lack of unique selling points -> how to present the duroc then, promote the company/ people more, after sales service/ technical services, generic sales skills, The 5 p´s of marketing – Product, Price, Promotion, Place, and People
  1. share some experiences, what have you done so far, 
  2. start working on the 5 p´s what is missing 
  3. groups sharing, what can we do as a group. 
Avl for redusert rånesmak

Androstenon og skatol er begge arvelige komponenter, så avl for lavere nivåer av rånesmak i grisene er mulig og er en langsiktig løsning på rånesmaksproblematikken. Rånesmak er nå implementert i avlsmålet til norsk landsvin og duroc.

Grunnene til at dette ikke har blitt gjort tidligere, er usikkerhet rundt hvordan en seleksjon vil påvirke reproduksjonsegenskaper samt mangel på tilfredsstillende målemetoder.
